MACOMB, IL – Pekin (IL) High School senior Emily Graham, of North Pekin (IL), has been selected for Western Illinois University's Centennial Honors Scholarship, which awards $10,000 per year to academically high-achieving students.

High school students with an ACT score of 30 or higher and a grade point average of 3.0 or higher are eligible for the scholarship.

"I really want to have a small town feel on campus," said Graham of her decision to attend Western. "The University feels secure, homey and it's just gorgeous in general."

Graham said she expects to major in political science at Western.

After graduation from Western, Graham hopes to become a family lawyer, as well as a social worker.

In high school, Graham participated in marching and pep band, student council, National Honor Society and set crew.
