WIU Mourns Student Death

MACOMB, IL -- The Western Illinois University community is saddened to learn of the death of WIU student Rodney Casillas, 45, of Moline, who died Jan. 21 in Rock Island.
Casillas, the owner of Rodney Casillas Insurance Solutions of Bettendorf, Iowa, was pursuing a bachelor's degree in general studies.
"We extend our sincere condolences to Rodney's family, friends, and classmates," said Western Illinois University President Jack Thomas.
Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday, Jan. 27 at DeRoo Funeral Home in Moline. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m.-noon Jan. 27.
