WIU Robotics Summer Program

MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University's Office of Study Abroad and Outreach will sponsor a Robotics, Printing and Design program for students grades 7-12, which will take place June 27 – July 1.

The program will allow participants to learn skills and practice artistic techniques that relate to one-dimensional, two dimensional and three-dimensional design. The program encourages students to expand their creative horizons using a free hands-on and technology driven approach. Students will also design an interactive 3D robotic using computer design and 3D printing equipment.

The instructors of the program are Jill Joline Myers and Rafael Obregon. Myers is the interim director of the School of Law Enforcement and Justice Administration at WIU. Obregon is an associate professor for the WIU's Department of Engineering Technology.

Enrollment is limited to 20 students on a first-come, first served basis. The registration fee is $195, which includes instruction supplies and lunch. Online registration is available at wiu.edu/summeryouth.
