Kid U June 6-9, 13-16 at WIU; Classes Designed for Grades 4-8

MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University College of Education and Human Services (COEHS) will offer Kid University, or "Kid U," designed for students in grades 4-8, for two weeks in June. The first session (Week 1) is set for 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Tuesday, June 6-7 and 8 a.m.-noon Wednesday-Thursday, June 8-9. The second session (Week 2) is set for 8 a.m.-3p.m. Monday-Tuesday, June 13-14 and 8 a.m.-noon Wednesday-Thursday, June 15-16.

Sessions covering culinary arts, fashion, computer coding, fitness, bicycling safety, e-book publishing, locally grown food, outdoor education, robotics and more are available. Individuals can mix and match sessions based on his or her individual interests (sessions listed at www.wiu.edu/coehs/kidu/).

Cost per session is $50 (one session is a two-hour class offered daily, Monday-Thursday). Individuals who register by Sunday, May 15, will receive a 10 percent early-bird discount.
