WIU Agronomy Field Day Set for June 23; Event to Feature Guided Tour of School of Ag's Weed-Management Research Trials

MACOMB, IL — A guided tour that will showcase weed-management research trials is set to be part of the Western Illinois University School of Agriculture's 2016 Agronomy Field Day. The program will begin at noon Thursday, June 23 at the WIU Agricultural Livestock Center.

According to Mark Bernards, associate professor of agronomy, crop science and weed control, the event will begin with welcome remarks and lunch. The 1.5-2 hour guided tour of research trials at the WIU Agricultural Field Laboratory will follow lunch.

The 2016 Agronomy Field Day is open free to the public. While pre-registration is not required, attendance confirmation is appreciated (to help with meal planning). To confirm attendance, contact the School of Agriculture (309) 298-1080.

The WIU Agricultural Livestock Center is located at 2201 Wigwam Hollow Rd. (Macomb).
