Social Entrepreneurs Networking Series at WIU-QC; First Event Set for Sept. 7

MOLINE, IL – Western Illinois University-Quad Cities will host the first of four informal events as part of its Social Entrepreneurship Salon (SES). The first event, "Mega Trends in Social Entrepreneurship," is set to start at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7 at WIU-QC in rooms 103/104. The event is open free to the public.

Tom Trone, a recently retired director of sales and marketing at John Deere who has 40 years of entrepreneurship education and business development experience, will survey trends in social entrepreneurship in the Quad Cities and beyond.

According to WIU College of Art and Sciences Assistant Dean James Rabchuk, the Social Entrepreneurship Salon series is designed to bring together thinkers and practitioners to network and exchange ideas related to social entrepreneurship initiatives that serve the Quad Cities area.

The series is presented by the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Business and Technology.
