Director of Foundation Financial Affairs Interviews Set

MACOMB, IL -- Four candidates have been selected to interview for the Western Illinois University Director of Foundation Financial Affairs position. The candidates will interview Aug. 24 and 25.

The candidates are Nancy Sprout, business manager I for WIU Athletics (Aug. 24); Margaret Taylor, assistant to the director of the Center for the Application of Information Technologies (CAIT) at WIU (Aug. 24); Letisha Trepac, assistant to the academic vice president for budget and personnel/director of academic personnel at WIU (Aug. 25); and David Wilson, business manager of the YMCA of West Central Illinois in Quincy (Aug. 25).

Open sessions will be held from 10:45-11:10 a.m. Aug. 24, Sherman Hall 205 (Sprout); 2:40-3:10 p.m. Aug. 24, Sherman Hall 200 (Taylor); 10:45-11:10 a.m. Aug. 25, Sherman Hall 205 (Trepac); and 2:40-3:10 p.m. Aug. 25, Sherman Hall 205 (Wilson).

Sprout has served as business manager I for WIU Athletics since July 2007. Previously, she was an accountant II in athletics (2005-2007) and in the WIU accounting office (2000-2005). Sprout has also worked as an accountant at Security Savings Bank in Monmouth (1999-2000), as an office manager for the Avon-Roseville Veterinary Clinic (1994-1999), as the manager of Sprout Trucking (1988-1994) and staff accountant for McGladrey & Pullen CPA (Galesburg) (1986-1987).

Sprout earned her MBA and her bachelor's degree in accountancy from WIU.

Taylor has served as assistant to the director of CAIT since January 2008. She has also served as the business operations manager for the uTech Computer Store at WIU (2008-2016) and as an accountant for CAIT (2001-2007). Taylor has also worked as an audit assistant for Clifton Gunderson LLC (Macomb) (2000-2001) and as an accountant for Howard "Pat" Harris CPA (Macomb) (1999-2000).

Taylor earned her MBA and her bachelor's degree in accountancy from WIU.

Trepac has served as assistant to the academic vice president for budget and personnel/director of academic personnel since June 2012. Previously, she was a budget analyst II in the WIU Budget Office (2009-2012) and a human resource officer for WIU Human Resources (2006-2009). Trepac has also worked as the office manager for Human Resources (2005-2006), as an office support specialist for Non-Credit Programs (2002-2005) and office support associate for University Computer Support Services (1999-2002).

Trepac earned her MBA and bachelor's degree in general studies (formerly called the Board of Trustees degree) from WIU.

Wilson has served as business manager of the YMCA of West Central Illinois since April 2007. Previously, he was the accounting director at Sunset Home in Quincy (2005-2007) and was assistant controller at Design Ideas in Springfield (2003-2005).

Wilson earned his MBA and his bachelor's degree in accounting from Quincy University.

The director of foundation financial affairs provides leadership to and directs the finance and business administration functions of the WIU Foundation, and the information systems, research, gift and records processing and foundation accounting and purchasing functions for University advancement operations. The director of foundation financial affairs provides oversight of all accounting, business, and financial reporting functions of the WIU Foundation, guides various Foundation Board committees and leads the donor and information services and Foundation accounting unit.
