College of Business and Technology to Host Reunion for 50th Anniversary Celebration

MACOMB, IL - - The Western Illinois University College of Business and Technology (CBT) is celebrating 50 years of success! Throughout the 2016-17 academic year, several events will be held to recognize the milestone, beginning with a reunion for current and former administrators, faculty and staff, as well as students, alumni and friends. The reception will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1 in the University Union Lamoine Room.

A brief program will begin at 5 p.m. Hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar will be available, as well as photos and memorabilia to view.

In 1965, the Board of Governors approved the creation of the Western Illinois University School of Business. The School officially opened its doors Sept. 1, 1966. Since that day, the School has grown, first evolving into the College of Business and then into the current College of Business and Technology.
