'Peace Deal: Paradox and Conformity' Opens at WIU Art Gallery

MACOMB, IL – The exhibit "Peace Deal: Paradox and Conformity," by artist Richard Deon, will be on view at the Western Illinois University Art Gallery through Friday, Nov. 4.

A reception for the exhibit will be held at the gallery from 4:30-6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3. Deon will deliver a gallery talk at 5:15 p.m.

Deon, of Dover Plains, NY, has seen his work exhibited in the United States and Europe, including at the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art in Sedalia, MO; the Hudson River Museum in Yonkers, NY; the Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art, State University of New York at New Paltz; the Housatonic Museum of Art in Bridgeport, CT; and the Katonah Museum of Art in Katonah, NY; and CCC Strozzina at the Palazzo Strozzi, Florence, Italy.
