Fallen Soldier 5K Race Results

MACOMB, IL -- Of close to 600 runners and walkers in Saturday's Fallen Soldiers 5K at Western Illinois University, Caitlen Bishop prevailed as the overall top female finisher in the road race with a time of 21:59 and Bobby Black as the overall top male finisher with a time of 18:17.
The 2016 race raised more than $17,115, topping last year's total. More than 530 individuals registered to participate in the event, which was held Oct. 22. Since the event's inception in 2012, more than $92,000 has been raised for the Fallen Soldier Scholarship, which honors WIU alumni Capt. Derek Dobogai and Lt. Col. Robert Baldwin, who were both killed in the line of duty.
