MACOMB, IL - The final round of Rocky on Parade statues will be created in 2017, with up to 25 new dogs joining the Western Illinois University pack.

Sponsors will be able to sign up for a dog at the Rocky Rally between 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7 at the West Central Illinois Arts Center. Any business or individual interested in sponsoring a dog should plan to attend the Rally, or send a representative on their behalf. Attendees need to bring the completed sponsor form, which can be found at bit.ly/2inVyIQ. The order in which sponsors sign up for a dog will dictate the order they select their artist at the Rocky Draft in April.

Kindergarten through sixth grade students were given the opportunity to participate in a Rocky on Parade coloring contest. Ten finalists from the children's Rocky coloring contest will be available for public vote. The coloring page that receives the most votes will be replicated by an artist and presented as one of the options from which the sponsors can choose at the Rocky Draft in April.

While 10 finalists were selected, hundreds of coloring pages were submitted, and all the submissions will be on display at the Arts Center during the Rocky Rally.

Families are encouraged to attend the Rocky Rally and enjoy themed treats and children's activities, as well as vote on their favorite finalist in the coloring contest. The event is open free to the public.
