MACOMB, IL - The Western Illinois University College of Fine Arts and Communication's Department of Theatre and Dance will host "A Message from the King," featuring Broadway actor and tenor Alexander Gemignani.

Gemignani is most famous for his role of King George in Chicago's "Hamilton." The discussion will be held from 3:15-5 p.m. Monday, April 17, in the Hainline Theatre.

Gemignani has appeared in numerous Broadway performances, including "Hamilton," "Violet," "The People in the Picture," "Sunday in the Park with George," "Les Miserables," "Sweeney Todd," "Children and Art," "Passion," "Assassins" and "Chicago." He has been involved with multiple off-Broadway productions such as "1776," "Road Show," "South Pacific" and "Avenue Q."

In addition to his extensive Broadway experiences, Gemignani performed in the New York Philharmonic's Gala honoring Stephen Sondheim's 80th birthday, and the City Center Gala, singing various songs.

A master class will be available for students from various BFA vocal studios. Each student will have opportunity to meet with Gemignani individually. Guests will have the opportunity to pose questions to Gemignani in a conversational setting.
