Move-In Weekend 2017

MACOMB, IL -- Fall 2017 marks the 115th year of classes at Western Illinois University, and like many years gone by, the weekend before the first day of classes will be a flurry of activity on campus. WIU's Fall 2017 Move-In Weekend activities will kick off at 8 a.m. Friday, Aug. 18.

This year's move-in schedule includes:

Friday, Aug. 18

• 8 a.m.: New student residence hall move-in begins - Bayliss, Henninger and Tanner halls
• 4 p.m.: Commuter/transfer student programming - University Union Capitol Room
• 5:30-6:15 p.m.: New Student Convocation - Western Hall
• 6:15 p.m.: President's Picnic - Campus Mall, near the Student Recreation Center
• 8 p.m.: Floor Connection - residence halls
• 8:30 p.m.: Rocky After Dark: First Night Fun - Hanson Field

Saturday, Aug. 19

• 10 a.m.: Leatherneck Legacy & Class of 2021 Photo Shoot - Hanson Field [rain location, Student Recreation Center]
• 11:30 a.m.: Academic Expectations - Various locations
• 3 p.m. & 4 p.m.: "Where are my Classes?" - Leaving from various locations
• 5-7 p.m.: Party on the Pavement - Outside Bayliss, Henninger and Tanner halls; dinner available in Bay-Henn Dining Center [rain location, Bayliss-Henninger dining center]
• 8 p.m.: Comedy hypnosis and magic with David Hall - University Union Grand Ballroom

Sunday, Aug. 20

• 11:30 a.m.: Lunch - Corbin/Olson and Thompson halls
• 1:30-2:30 p.m.: Rocky Chow Trail Mix Bar - Outside Bayliss, Henninger and Tanner halls
• 2 p.m. & 3 p.m.: "Where are my Classes?" - Leaving from various locations
• 7 p.m.: Floor meetings - Bayliss, Henninger and Tanner halls
• 9 p.m.: Outdoor movie, "Guardians of the Galaxy" - Outside Bayliss, Henninger and Tanner halls [rain location, Tanner Circle]
