Open Houses Planned at WIU's Multicultural Center

MACOMB, IL—Casa Latina at Western Illinois University will host a series of upcoming open houses for faculty, staff and students.

The schedule includes:
• Thursday, Aug. 31, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. , Multicultural Center ; Meet Casa Latina's new staff and learn about the center.

Thursday Aug. 31, noon- 3 p.m.; general Multicultural Center open house.

• Friday, Sept. 8, noon – 3 p.m., Multicultural Center open house; tour the offices of Casa Latina, the Gwendolyn Brooks Cultural Center and the WIU Women's Center, meet new staff and have a opportunity to win prizes.

• Thursday, Sept. 14, 6 – 9 p.m., Calle Murray, Murray Street, between the University Union and Multicultural Center; the event will feature music, food and performances at the annual welcome back block party.

• Friday, Sept. 15 1:30 – 3 p.m., Multicultural Center; Chinchano : Master Class – Chincano mixes elements of Peruvian heritage with contemporary jazz idioms.
