WIU Professor to Present Original Composition Sept. 19 in COFAC Recital Hall

MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University Music Composition Professor James Romig will present an original composition at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19 in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.

The hour-long composition for solo piano was inspired by the artwork of American abstract-expressionist painter Clyfford Still. Romig's wife, pianist Ashlee Mack, will perform the work during the Sept. 19 event, as well as during performances scheduled for September, October and beyond in Illinois, Nebraska, Colorado, Tennessee and Minnesota.
