2017 Fallen Soldiers 5K Race Results

MACOMB, IL -- Kari Rogers prevailed as the overall top female finisher in the road race with a time of 21:23 and Miles Sheppard as the overall top male finisher with a time of 17:27 in the 2017 Western Illinois University Fallen Soldiers 5K.
The 2017 race raised more than $14,475, with over 450 individuals registered to participate in the event, which was held Oct. 14. Since the event's inception in 2012, over $100,000 has been raised for the Fallen Soldiers Scholarships, which honor WIU alumni Capt. Derek Dobogai and Lt. Col. Robert Baldwin, who were both killed in the line of duty. Next year's event is scheduled for Oct. 27, 2018.
