MACOMB, IL – The Gwendolyn Brooks Cultural Center (GBCC) invites campus departments to submit programs and events for inclusion in the 2018 Western Illinois University Black History Month Calendar. The theme for this year's celebration is "The Doorsteps of Activism" (selected by GBCC's graduate assistants).

The Gwendolyn Brooks Cultural Center will host a number of programs during the month, including a keynote on Monday, Feb. 5. Additionally, the office will support the Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Thursday, Jan. 25.

The center is excited to share the calendar with the campus and the local community in January. They request that all program information be submitted by the priority deadline of Dec. 15.

For more information, contact the GBCC at (309) 298-2220.
