Broadcasting Faculty, Alumnus Named National Award Finalists

MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University Broadcasting and Journalism Instructor Jasmine Crighton and 2017 broadcasting alumnus Danny Frey were recently named as finalists for the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System's Management and Operations Awards competition.

Both are finalists in the Television category: Crighton for Best Faculty Adviser and Frey for Best Sports Director.

WIU Department of Broadcasting and Journalism students received eight nominations in the national competition last month, including Best TV Newscast and Best TV College Station. The winners will be announced Saturday, March 3 at the IBS international conference in New York, NY.
