MACOMB, IL – Oswego East High School senior Lauren Antoniolli, of Aurora, IL, has been awarded a Western Illinois University President's Scholarship, which covers four years of tuition, fees and a residence hall room and meal plan at the school.

"I selected Western because of the many opportunities available to me in the music program," said Antoniolli.

At Western, Antoniolli plans to major in music education and horn performance, and plans to participate in the Western's All Volunteer Effort (WAVE), Symphony Orchestra, the National Association for Music Education (NAFME), Greek life and the Marching Leathernecks.

In high school, Antoniolli was involved in student ambassadors, Science Olympiad (president), marching band (field commander), National Honor Society, Educators Rising and Drum Corps International.

To qualify for the WIU President's Scholarship, students must have a minimum ACT score of 30, or minimum SAT score of 1390, and been awarded WIU's Centennial Commitment Scholarship. The scholarship decision is also weighted by the proof of volunteer and community service.
