MACOMB, IL – As part of the local Learning is ForEver (LIFE) program, WIU School of Music Emeritus Professor Marietta Dean will perform a concert at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21 at the First Presbyterian Church, 400 E. Carroll St., in Macomb.

Dean will be joined by Austrian guest pianist Anna Wagner, an emeritus faculty member from the University of Vienna. Wagner will play the music of Claude Debussy and Erik Satie and will accompany Dean, who will sing songs of Debussy, Satie and Gabriel Faure.

The concert, open free to the public, is the culmination of a three-week LIFE class, "Three French Composers Influenced by Impressionism," and will include Dubussy's "Suite Bergamasque," and "Gymnopedie" of Satie. In addition to the live music, Dean will provide commentary on the selections.

A reception will follow the concert.
