Lawrence T. Lewis Obituary

MACOMB, IL – Funeral services for Western Illinois University Geography Department Chair Emeritus Lawrence T. Lewis will be held at noon Tuesday, May 8 in Sierra Vista, AZ. Lewis passed away May 1 in Arizona.
Lewis was hired at WIU in September 1996, and retired December 2002. He specialized in computer cartography and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and obtained a grant in 1993 to establish a GIS lab at Western.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen; his sons, Barry and Robert; one grandson and one granddaughter.
