WIU Student Named Finalist in National Broadcasting Competition

MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University junior broadcasting major Justin Fitzpatrick, of O'Fallon, MO, has been named a finalist in the national Sports Video Group (SVG) College Sports Media Awards.

Fitzpatrick was named one of eight finalists in the Outstanding Special Feature in the Collegiate Athletics category for "More Than a Number," about WIU Women's Basketball player Sam Pryor.

Winners will be announced June 1 at the SVG College Summit in Atlanta, GA.

Fitzpatrick has already received a number of state and national awards for this story.
