WIU School of Law Enforcement and Justice Administration Career Fair Sept. 18

MACOMB, IL - - The Western Illinois University School of Law Enforcement and Justice Administration (LEJA) career fair will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18 in the University Union Grand Ballroom.

More than 80 agencies will be set up at the event to recruit for full-time employment and internships. The event is open to all majors and academic disciplines, as well as to WIU alumni and the public.

For a complete list of participating agencies at the career fair, visit wiu.edu/coehs/leja/careerfair. The event is sponsored by the LEJA department and the WIU College of Education and Human Services (COEHS) Dean's office.

Two police departments will be holding testing sessions on the Macomb campus, as well. Students interested in applying for the Missouri State Highway Patrol should apply online prior to Sept. 18. Visit motrooper.com and select WIU as the testing location. Check-in will be from 3:30-4 p.m. in Horrabin Hall, room 27.

Students interested in applying for the Glen Ellyn Police Department should visit glenellyn.org and click on the "police officer" icon. Applications are accepted through Friday, Sept. 14. Glen Ellyn is only accepting 30 applications. Testing begins at 5 p.m. in Stipes Hall, room 130.

To participate in the testing process, students need to bring a valid ID, copy of birth certificate and copy of high school diploma or GED.

The FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) will be recruiting on campus Wednesday, Sept. 26 from 2-3 p.m. in Horrabin Hall, room 28 on the Macomb campus and from 5-6 p.m. in the Riverfront Hall, room 103/104 on the WIU-Quad Cities campus.
