MACOMB, IL – The International Friendship Club (IFC) held its first game night of the Fall 2018 semester Friday, Sept. 7 in Horrabin Hall.

Western Illinois University students from around the world enjoyed a night of games, prizes and trivia as the IFC kicked off a semester of events.

The club's focus is to unite people from around the globe to share and learn about cultures, traditions and the importance of diversity.

"It was great to see so many domestic and international students gathered together, telling stories and playing games on Friday," said IFC President Erik Xhyra. "With such a great turnout, we are looking forward to the rest of the semester and our next event."

All of the club's events, which are open to all WIU students, are posted on its Facebook page at facebook.com/IFCatWiu/.

IFC's most popular event, the International Bazaar, has been scheduled for Saturday, March 2. The event is entering its 46th year and is most well-known for its presentation of foods, entertainment and fashion from across the globe.

An informational meeting about the International Bazaar will be held Monday, Oct. 8 in Memorial Hall, room 341.
