School of Music to Present Guest Recital Oct. 5

MACOMB, IL - The Western Illinois University School of Music will present a guest recital featuring pianist Silvan Negruţiu at 7:30 p.m. Friday Oct. 5 in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.

Silvan Negruţiu is an assistant professor of piano and coordinator of keyboard studies at the Millikin University School of Music, in Decatur, IL. His performance, titled "Spectrum," will feature works by Beethoven, Silvestri, Enescu, Tcherepnin and Ginastera.

This performance is open free to the public and will be live-streamed on the School of Music's YouTube channel and Facebook Live.

Negrutiu will also hold a masterclass for WIU piano students at 2 p.m. Saturday Oct. 6.
