Community Art Program Offering Fall Classes

MACOMB IL—The Western Illinois University Art Education program in Department of Art will present Fall 2018 Community Art Program on Sundays, from Oct. 21 – Nov. 11, at the West Central Illinois Arts Center and Garwood Hall on the WIU campus.

The free program is for students in first through eighth grades. Classes will be held Oct. 21, Oct. 28, Nov. 4 and Nov. 11 from 1-2:30 p.m. and from 3-4:30 p.m.

The Fall 2018 Community Art Program will help young artists explore the theme of the ocean. Through artists and artworks, students will explore the ocean, ocean habitats and sea creatures. Students will also look at current ecological threats to coral reefs and ocean life. Students will be able to use their artistic voice as an agent for change.
