First Wednesday Art Program Oct. 3 at WIU

MACOMB, IL – The October "First Wednesday" art program will be held from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3 in Garwood Hall, the Heating Plant Annex and the University Art Gallery. 

The WIU art faculty combines their efforts to offer creative, hands-on activities to visitors. The event is open free to the public, and visitors are welcome from campus and the surrounding community and region. 

This month's events include:

Garwood Hall
• Printmaking 
– Professor Bill Howard, Garwood 12 (first floor)

• Drawing – Professors Jan Clough and Julie Mahoney, Garwood 20 (second floor)

• Fall Halloween-Themed Refrigerator Magnets – Associate Professor Ta-Teh Ku, Garwood 24 (second floor)  

• Cartoon Workshop – Professor Damon McArthur, Garwood 30 (third Floor)

• Palette Knife Painting-
Professor Tim Waldrop, Garwood 25 (second floor)
 
HPA Activities
• Chain Making
– Department of Art Chair Kat Myers, HPA 107

• Wheel Throwing – Assistant Professor Ian Shelly, HPA 111

The University Art Gallery will be open during the event with the exhibitions "Don Crouch – Art Since Retirement" and "Miya Hannan – Beneath My Feet."
