WIU Educational Studies Chair Named President of the Ohio Valley Philosophy of Education Society

MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University Educational Studies Chair Eric Sheffield was recently elected president of the Ohio Valley Philosophy of Education Society (OVPES) for 2019.
OVPES meets annually for a two-day conference and publishes an annual peer-reviewed scholarly journal, "Philosophical Studies in Education."
Sheffield is also a professor at Western, and prior to coming to WIU, he served as a high school English teacher and a social foundations professor and graduate degree program coordinator at Southwest Missouri State University.
