WIU Mourns Death of WIU-QC Employee

MOLINE, IL -- Emily I. (Pitz) Jackson, 42, an office support specialist in the Office of Academic Affairs at the Western Illinois University-Quad Cities campus, passed away Oct. 4. Services were held Oct. 7.
"The Western Illinois University community mourns Emily's passing," said President Jack Thomas. "We extend our thoughts and sympathies to her family, friends and co-workers."
Pitz started working at WIU-QC in June 2009.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff; a daughter, Sophia; parents, Art and Suzanne Pitz; siblings, Don and Margaret; and one nephew.
