WIU Students Have Opportunity to Study Abroad in Ecuador in 2019

MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University students have a chance to study abroad in Ecuador at the end of the Spring 2019 semester. Global Business at the Equator Ecuador South America will take place May 14-23.
 
This trip will explore Ecuadorian business practices first-hand through site visits to local companies, street markets and start-up incubators. Lectures from Universidad San Francisco faculty will introduce students to cultural contexts and business customs found in Ecuador.
 
This study abroad experience can be taken three semester hours of credit. The class will also meet on the Macomb campus the second eight weeks of the Spring 2019 semester, prior to the travel portion of the course.
 
To be eligible for Global Business at the Equator, students must have at least a 2.5 GPA and have completed 45 semester hours at the end of the Fall 2018 semester. The deadline to apply for the course is Sunday, Nov. 11.
