'The Drowsy Chaperone' Performed at WIU Nov. 7-11

MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University Department of Theatre and Dance will present "The Drowsy Chaperone" Wednesday-Sunday, Nov. 7-11 in the Hainline Theatre.

The Nov. 7-10 performances begin at 7:30 p.m. and the Nov. 11 matinee begins at 2 p.m.

The show begins with the playing of a cast recording of a fictitious 1928 musical, which comes to life on stage. The cast features two lovers, on the eve of their wedding, a bumbling best man, a desperate theatre producer, two gangsters posing as pastry chefs, a misguided Don Juan and an intoxicated chaperone.

General admission tickets are $15; $13 for seniors and youth and WIU students are admitted free with valid student identification. To order tickets, visit westernpresents.com.
