WIU Food Pantry Announces Expanded Hours

MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University Food Pantry has announced expanded hours for students, faculty and staff to access free, non-perishable food items.

The pantry will now be open from noon-5 p.m. Thursdays and from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays.

The WIU Food Pantry is located in the former ticket booth near Q-Lot, adjoining Hanson Field. Food is available to all individuals with a valid WIU identification card, regardless of income.
 
Students who volunteer as part of the WIU Food Pantry organization are provided the opportunity to practice knowledge and skills they learn in class, acquire volunteer hours, participate in service learning, and build their resume. All WIU students are welcome to join.
 
Monetary and food donations are accepted. If donating food, check the expiration date to ensure it is safe for consumption. Each dollar donated will provide five meals to those in need.
