Faculty Chamber Music Series Concert April 3 at WIU

MACOMB, IL -- The Western Illinois University School of Music will present the Faculty Chamber Music Series Concert V, featuring resident ensembles, the Julstrom String Quartet and the Camerata Woodwind Quintet, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 3 in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.

The Julstrom String Quartet will perform Mozart's "String Quartet No. 15 in D Minor, K. 421/417b," and Phillip Glass's "String Quartet No. 3 'Mishima.'" Members of the Julstrom String Quartet are Associate Professor Julieta Mihai; Teaching Support Assistant Ramel Price, violin; Associate Professor István Szabó, viola; and Professor Moisés Molina, cello.

The Camerata Woodwind Quintet will perform Cambini's "Quintett No. 2 in D Minor" and Barber's "Summer Music, Op. 31." Members of the Camerata Woodwind Quintet are Associate Professor John McMurtery, flute; Assistant Professor Emily Hart, oboe; Professor Eric Ginsberg, clarinet; Assistant Professor Brisa de Paula, bassoon; and Assistant Professor Jena Gardner, horn.

This performance is open free to the public.
