Farewell Reception Set for Ron Williams

MACOMB, IL – A farewell reception for Western Illinois University Vice President for Student Services and Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs Ron Williams will be held from 3-6 p.m. Wednesday, June 12 in the University Union Lamoine Room.
Williams has accepted a position at Columbus State University in Georgia. His last day at WIU is Friday, June 21.
"I would like to thank Ron for his years of service and commitment to Western Illinois University," said President Jack Thomas. "He has been a respected member of the leadership team, and he will be missed."
Williams has served as the vice president for student services since June 2017, after serving in that role as interim vice president since January 2016. He has been the assistant vice president for academic affairs at WIU since July 2008, and also served as an associate professor in the Department of Educational Studies.
