UDT Offering Mini/Jr. UDT through Fall Semester

MACOMB, IL – The University Dance Theatre (UDT) will offer a Mini and a Junior University Dance Theatre throughout the Fall 2019 semester for students in grades 1-5 and in grades 6-12.
The Mini UDT event gives students the opportunity to pair up with a WIU Dance Theatre member for the season and to participate in events with their mentor. They will also have the opportunity learn and perform a dance with the other students and mentors.
The Junior UDT event also pairs students with UDT members. They will have the opportunity to create their own dance as a group with the help of UDT members.
Both groups will perform in the UDT Emerging Choreographer Showcase Dec. 7 in Hainline Theatre.
The cost of each offering is $30 per student, which includes three-four rehearsals and activities.
Scheduled events include:
• Saturday, Oct. 19 – 9 a.m.-noon – Brophy Hall
• Saturday, Nov. 16 – 9-11:30 a.m. – Brophy Hall
• Thursday, Dec. 3 – 6:30-7:15 p.m. – Hainline Theatre
• Saturday, Dec. 7 – 12:45 p.m. – Call time for UDT Emerging Choreographer Showcase. The performance is at 2 p.m. and doors open at 1:30 p.m.
