MACOMB, IL -- Keyboard music from the Baroque and 20th century will be presented by Western Illinois University Organ Instructor Linda Andrews and guest pianist Anna Wagner at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at the First Presbyterian Church, 400 E. Carroll St., in Macomb.

Their program will include Baroque partitas by Johann Sebastian Bach and Johann Pachelbel. Organ music by French composer Olivier Messiaen, and Canadian composer Gerald Bales will complete the first half of the program. "Piano Sonata in A minor," by Sergie Prokofiev, will conclude the program. Additionally, the two musicians will play an organ/piano duet.

Andrews has been organ instructor at WIU since 2012, and is also organist for First Presbyterian Church, a position she has held for 25 years. She holds degrees from WIU and Northwestern University. An active member of the American Guild of Organists, she currently serves as dean of the WIU chapter.

Recently, she was the instructor for Pianos, Pipes, Pedals and Pizza, in Pekin, IL, a program designed to teach children and adults about the pipe organ. Andrews has presented numerous solo organ recitals, has participated in WIU sponsored LIFE programs and has been a featured organ soloist with the McDonough Choral Society.

Wagner was professor of piano for 40 years at the University of Music in Vienna, Austria, where she taught "Basics in Song Interpretation" in the Department of Voice and Music Theater. Upon her retirement, she was awarded the Medal of Honor.

Wagner has performed concerts, presented master classes and recorded for TV, radio and CDs. In Macomb, she has also participated in WIU sponsored LIFE programs and performed as a guest recitalist.

Wagner is also a professional photographer and the Arts Center in downtown Macomb is currently featuring her exhibit, "Discovering Macomb – The Photographs of Anna Wagner," through Oct. 19.
