AGR Presents Annual 'Smokin' Hog' Event Saturday at Chapter House

MACOMB, IL — The Alpha Gamma Rho (AGR) Fraternity at Western Illinois University will present its 27th annual Smokin' Hog fundraiser 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 at the AGR House at 1010 N. Lafayette St.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to Feeding Homes First, Agriculture Adopt a Classroom, the WIU School of Agriculture's Open House, the WIU Food Pantry, the Student Association for Nutrition Education, Shop with a Cop, the FCC Action and Outreach Committee, the WIU Fire Protection Studies program and the Salvation Army – Share the Spirit Program. Last year's program donated $24,000 to the former VIBE program.

Tickets for the pulled pork dinner with refreshments can be purchased in advance for $5 or for $7 at the door (children ages 5 and under get in free). Carry-out meals are also available.

The family-friendly event will include raffles and a free community concert by Jacob Bryant, who will perform at 9 p.m.
