Knoblauch Café Reopens Tuesday

MACOMB, IL – The Knoblauch Café will open for the Spring 2020 semester Tuesday, Feb. 18 and will serve meals on Tuesdays from 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. in the Knoblauch Hall Corporate Dining Room, 239. 

Each meal is $7, which includes a beverage and dessert. Carry-outs are available. 

The meals are organized and run by students in the WIU Department of Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration (RPTA). The Knoblauch Café provides students with hands-on experience running a foodservice facility.

PayPal can be used to pay for meals reserved online and cash and checks will be accepted at the door.

This semester's menu includes:

Feb. 18
Bow tie pasta with tomato cream sauce
Caesar salad
Bruschetta
Strawberry shortcake trifle

Feb. 25
Turkey panini/veggie panini
Broccoli cheese soup
Mardi Gras cupcake

March 3
Hawaiian ham and cheese/veggie sliders
Loaded baked potato soup
Brownie sundae

March 17
Lemon chicken/veggie piccata
Olive Garden salad
Garlic Texas toast
Gooey butter cake

March 24
Chicken/veggie quesadilla
Southwest corn salsa with tortilla chips
Strawberry pretzel dessert

March 31
Lasagna/veggie lasagna
Wedge salad with ranch or blue cheese dressing
Cheese biscuit
Salted caramel cheesecake cupcake

April 7
Pork tenderloin/veggie-stuffed Portobello mushroom
Twice baked potato
Green bean casserole
Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting

April 14
BBQ chicken/margherita flatbread flatbread pizza
Strawberry salad
