MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University School of Agriculture's Ag Council will host its first ever Mac 'N Cheese Fest from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27 at the Macomb American Legion, 221 E. Washington St.

The competitive event is an opportunity to see who can make the best macaroni and cheese from the School of Agriculture. Admission includes all-you-can-eat mac 'n cheese samples, desserts and drinks.

"We have been doing a chili cook off for three years and decided we wanted to change it up," said senior agriculture major Claudia Bland, of Hudson, IL, one of the student organizers of the event. "Mac and cheese is always a fan favorite; I have never met someone who didn't love a good bowl of mac. It's my favorite food, so I cannot wait to try all these different recipes."

Tickets are $5 in advance at Knoblauch Hall, room 145, or $6 at the door.

The event is sponsored by Alpha Gamma Rho and Alpha Gamma Sigma.
