MCHD Notices; COVID-19 Information

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL -- As positive COVID-19 cases continue to increase in our host communities and throughout the state, it is important to follow protocols and procedures in place to help minimize the transmission of coronavirus: wear face coverings, practice social distancing, wash your hands/use hand sanitizer and avoid large gatherings. More information from the McDonough County Health Department is included below.

McDonough County Health Department Notices & Medical Assistance

Please see the notices (Aug. 27, Aug. 28, Aug. 29 & Sept. 3) of public exposure of COVID-19 distributed by the McDonough County Health Department. Public health staff and University officials will work together on contact tracing and other requirements. Individuals who have COVID-19 symptoms should get tested and then isolate until test results are returned.

WIU students who are living on campus or in the community can call Beu Health Center, from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday at (309) 298-1888. Individuals should not walk into Beu or any local health care provider or hospital without first calling. Individuals in the Quad Cities region should work with their primary care physician for guidance and direction.

Individuals in McDonough County residents or WIU students (after Beu's hours of operation) experiencing symptoms, should call the McDonough District Hospital (MDH) nurse triage hotline at (309) 836-1715 or their primary care provider. The nurse triage hotline is available from 7 a.m.- 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 7 a.m.- 3 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. Hours for the drive-thru screening station at MDH are Monday-Friday: 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday: 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
