WIU: IDPH COVID-19 Mobile Testing Site

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL – The Illinois Department of Public Health, in conjunction with the McDonough County Health Department, will host a free drive-thru COVID-19 test site on the Western Illinois University-Macomb campus from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 19-20 in the Tanner Circle, in the far east section of Q-Lot.

All members of the WIU community, and members of the Macomb and surrounding communities, are invited to participate in this test opportunity. In addition to drive-thru lanes, there will be a designated bike/walkup lane in place.

The WIU surveillance test program will continue as scheduled. Individuals selected to participate in next week's test should follow directions in the email they received when selected.

At the WIU-QC campus, free COVID-19 saliva test kits for faculty, staff and students will continue to be distributed at Riverfront Hall's east entrance from from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19-Thursday, Oct. 22 and from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23.

Individuals who are experiencing COVID-19-related symptoms and/or who are currently in quarantine are asked not to attend the test sites. Individuals who are experiencing symptoms or who are in quarantine should contact their primary care provider for further instructions.
