MACOMB/MOLINE, IL – McKenzie (Mac) Price has been named the new assistant director of annual giving at Western Illinois University, effective March 7.

Before joining the Office of Foundation and Development at Western, Price was the assistant director of the Monmouth Fund and Prospect Research at Monmouth College. He has also served as a data specialist and volunteer coordinator for the Western Illinois Regional Council in Macomb.

"As we realize greater needs for private support and engage in new fundraising opportunities, along with our traditional annual giving efforts through our phonathon initiatives, Day of Giving and more, it's essential for the University to have experienced development staff in place. I'm excited to welcome Mac to annual giving to help us further enhance our efforts. His experience will provide additional expertise and service," said Director of Annual Giving Tim Hallinan.

Price has worked as a local campaign field coordinator, a graduate assistant in WIU's Department of Sociology and Anthropology and office support assistant in the Department of Health Sciences and Social Work at WIU.

"It's really good to be home," Price said. "I look forward to advancing my alma mater and working with our students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends."

Price received his bachelor's degree from WIU, and is working toward his master's degree from Western.
