Black Alumni Council Scholarship Applications Open

MACOMB, IL -- The Gwendolyn Brooks Cultural Center (GBCC) at Western Illinois University is accepting applications for its annual Black Alumni Council Scholarship.

The scholarship is open to incoming first-year students and previous recipients. The application deadline is July 1.

"To the members of the Black Alumni Council, thank you," said Carl Ervin, associate director of WIU's Multicultural Center. "You make a difference in students' lives that is visible, impactful and very much appreciated."

The GBCC is one of four centers within the Multicultural Center, which also houses Casa Latina Cultural Center, LGBT*QA Resource Center and the Women's Center.
