#GivingTuesday at WIU Set for Nov. 29

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL – Tis the season to give! Join Western Illinois University as WIU kicks off the season and inspires Leathernecks everywhere to come together in generosity as we participate in #GivingTuesday (Nov. 29).

#GivingTuesday is a 24-hour global campaign to encourage personal philanthropy and showcase the impact of collective giving, and this year we are "All About the W!"

"On #GivingTuesday 2022, we're excited to shine a spotlight on 'For the W: The Campaign for Western Illinois University,'" said WIU Director of Annual Giving Tim Hallinan. "'For the W' is Western's current $100 million-plus fundraising and engagement initiative that will enhance educational opportunities for all Leathernecks."

According to Hallinan, the historic, comprehensive undertaking encompasses countless initiatives to expand Western's capacity to help every student reach their full potential.

"The campaign's primary focus is on enhancing the student experience, diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, technology upgrades, scholarships, faculty support, and other campus initiatives," he added.
