Rodney Fink Obituary

MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University Dean Emeritus Rodney Fink passed away Friday, Feb. 3.
A memorial service will be held at noon, Sunday, Feb. 12, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Harligen, TX.
Fink was hired at WIU in September 1968, and retired in March 1992. He is the dean emeritus of the former College of Applied Sciences at WIU. He also served with the U.S. Agency for International Development in numerous countries, and led numerous study tours.
Fink, and his wife, Bertha, also donated 77 acres of land on West Adams Street to WIU in 2007, to establish the Rodney and Bertha Fink Environmental Studies Field Laboratory and Conservancy.
Fink had also served as the acting chair of the WIU Department of Computer Sciences.
