Alfredo (Fred) Bambao Villanueva Obituary

MACOMB, IL – A funeral mass for Western Illinois University Professor Emeritus Alfredo (Fred) Bambao Villanueva will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 23 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Tucson, AZ.
A rosary service will begin at 10:30 a.m., and burial will be in Holy Hope Cemetery in Tucson following the funeral service.
Villanueva passed away Tuesday, May 16 in Tucson.
He began teaching at WIU in September 1971, and retired in May 1998. He taught Political Science and Public Administration and had published his academic research extensively.
Villanueva is survived by his wife, Joyce; five daughters, Kim, Hope, Pam, Yvonne and Estela; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
