April 21, 2005
MACOMB, IL Students in Western Illinois University College of Business and Technology (CBT) programs have inside connections with businesses and industries long before they walk across the stage at commencement.
The CBT Advisory Board at Western is comprised of 28 business professionals most of whom are WIU alumni who work with college faculty and administration to ensure students are receiving up-to-date information and experience. According to CBT Dean Fred Ebeid, the board, which was established in 1990, is dedicated to supporting Western as it continually improves its business programs and initiatives.
These professionals, who have many years of industry experience, provide advice, ideas and resources to the faculty on a variety of issues facing the college, such as curriculum changes, technology updates, faculty development and student recruitment, Ebeid added.
