Political Culture in Nigeria Topic of October 13 Lecture

MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois UniversityÂ’s Indigenous Africa and Diaspora Discourse (IADDP) Project Fall 2005 lecture series will present Aminu Gusau of the University of Kansas speaking about Nigeria at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13 in Stipes Hall 121.

Gusau’s topic is: “Politicians and Political Culture in Nigeria: The Global Century, Nigeria and Africa’s Move to Stability.”

The speaker is a member of the Kansas African-American Studies faculty and is the director of international affairs and the international representative for the Buba Marwa Movement and Endowment for Humanity.

Sponsors for the talk, which is open free to the public, include the IADDP and WesternÂ’s Visiting LectureÂ’s Committee.
