MACOMB, IL – Warm up a cold winter day with a bowl of chili at the second annual Western Illinois University agriculture department’s chili cook-off from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2 at the Macomb American Legion, 221 E. Washington St.

Agriculture department students will create some of their best – and most inventive –
recipes to be served all-you-can-eat style and to see who makes the best chili. Judging begins at 5:30 p.m.

Also on the menu are hot dogs, various relishes, dessert and drink. Ticket prices are $5 in advance and $6 at the door. Children five and under eat free, so bring in the family and leave the cooking to WesternÂ’s agriculture students.

To purchase tickets contact the agriculture office at 309/298-1080.
