MACOMB, IL -- More than 300 bags of food were recently collected by the Student Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants (SCIMA) at Western Illinois University during its semi-annual food drive for the Macomb Salvation Army.

During the week of March 26, SCIMA members delivered more than 1,000 food collection bags to the doorsteps of residents throughout Macomb. On March 31, seven teams drove around town to gather 330 filled bags.

"The food drive was a huge success," said Lucia Peek, accountancy professor, "We would like to thank the Macomb community for their genorosity for this most worthy cause, and we also express our appreciation to the Salvation Army for their continued support of our efforts."
